Located on the banks of the Flint River, the Flint RiverQuarium tells the story of the Flint River and the blue hole springs that helped create it. Visitors can experience the unique ecosystems of the Flint River watershed through a variety of interactive exhibits featuring more than 100 species of native aquatic life. A recent aviary addition also gives visitors a close-up look at a wide variety of birds found in the surrounding wetland habitat. Other ongoing programming, such as dive shows, alligator feedings and animal presentations, ensure that every visit has something new to offer.
Explore the world around you like never before with interactive exhibits and face-to-face encounters with the creatures and fish native to south Georgia.
Darton Boosters, Inc. was founded by friends of the college with the belief in the positive impact athletics has on our students, campus, and community. The purpose of the Darton Boosters is to promote and support the objectives of the Darton State College Athletic Program by helping to provide funds; promoting fellowship among coaches, athletes, employees, and students of Darton State College; and strengthening ties between the community and the college.
Join us in downtown Albany on Saturday, April 27, for a fun filled run followed by a music festival on the campus of Darton State College. Proceeds from all events will benefit the Flint Riverquarium and Darton Boosters.
